Yvonne Janson
Independent Facilitator for EMC²
INTRODUCTION TO EMC2
I first heard about the AIM program when Stephen Lewis came to Dallas to speak in December, 2001. Lea Walters visited a community where I live and told me about the coming event. I attended Stephen’s demo/lecture and became an AIM participant the next day.
Since finding alternative methods for healing myself of a major illness many years ago, I have been on a path of research to find the next step in the process of reaching superlative health. When I heard Stephen speak about Energetic Balancing I knew that this was that next step. I have used Body Chemistry Balancing, Homeopathy, Cranio-Sacral, Chiropractic, Essential Oils, Acupuncture, Yoga and many other healing methods.
As Lea Walters told me more about facilitating, I knew that was my next career change. My sister, Joy Wilson started the program about the same time I did. Together we decided to have meetings for EMC2 beginning the next month. We presented the book, showed the video and answered questions even though we were not yet official facilitators. Seven months later we were official! At first we had a meeting in each of our homes and then found a spot in the Whole Foods Market at Coit and Beltline in Dallas where we continue to have meetings every month on the first Monday at 7 p.m.
THE CHALLENGE
At the time we started facilitating there were no other facilitators living in Texas---which prompted Lea to challenge us to “organize Texas”. It sounded like a huge project but we soon had invited Stephen Lewis to come to Texas to speak where we set up locations for him in Dallas, Austin and Houston. Later Evan Slawson spoke at an expo in Austin and Stephen has returned to speak in Dallas and Austin two other times during the last 4 years. The program in Texas has expanded greatly with many more participants and new facilitators in several Texas cities.
VOCATIONS AND AVOCATIONS
As long as I can remember I have felt compelled to learn everything available to me about music and art. I have taught private lessons in piano, organ, keyboard, voice, etc.
Art became very important to me as I taught classes and traveled to many locations to study with landscape and wildlife artists---painting in oil, acrylic, watercolor, colored pencils, etc.
My vocations and avocations seem to blend together! Music and art were hobbies as well as jobs. Alternative health research and spiritual healing has been an interest for many years which now relates to my job since I became an independent facilitator.
FACILITATOR
Being a facilitator is so automatic for me because my search for alternative and spiritual healing methods has been a driving force in my life. Since being on the AIM program I have seen many positive changes in myself and in other people I know. What I think I observe in all of us, as our consciousness rises, is a sense of well-being and a confidence that allows us to expand our horizons to reach new goals we would not have tried before. I enjoy being a part of those achievements in some small way.
